"Wines of Sakar" Day Trip

ABOUT THIS TOUR
On this full day trip, we will explore the region of Sakar in the southeast of Bulgaria! This day will be more than a wine tour, it will be an unforgettable wine experience!

The small family wineries located in the Sakar region are charming, welcoming and offer great wines.

On Saturday 6th June, let’s discover the Sakar region and visit two small wineries for a special wine tasting with the owners or winemakers.

Starting from Plovdiv, we will go to the town of Harmanli and visit Bratanov Winery / Винарна Братанов to taste a selection of 5 wines.

At lunch time, we will stop at the Sakar – wine shop & tasting room so that you can have lunch and a glass of wine.

In the afternoon, we will visit Chateau Kolarovo– another small wine producer in the area making great wines. The winemaker will meet us to tell us the stories behind the wines, while she leads the wine tasting.

13:15 – 14:30 Free time at Sakar Regional Tasting Room for lunch and a glass of wine
15:00 – 17:00 Visit to Bratanov Family Winery incl. a tasting of 5 wines
18:30 Return to Plovdiv
